Networking
Carried on effectively, Business Networking can be a source of considerable amounts of business. Net- working groups wouldn't continue to thrive if networking and business didn't go together. To get the best out of it requires skill, practise and confidence. When people say it doesn't work for them, it is often that they haven't gone about it in one of the right ways.
When you go to a networking meeting you need to be clear in your own mind why you are going. You are going to build a business network, a network of business contacts who will respond to your help with offers of help for you.
To let the others help you back, you need to be able to tell them what to look out for, how to spot an opportunity for you. You need to succinctly articulate the good your business delivers, the 'pains' it relieves, and who is most likely to have such pains.
If you keep going to the same group, it should be because your objectives are still being achieved and because you are moving in the right circles, meeting people who will naturally be rubbing shoulders with your ideal customers.
